Phalada

At Phalada Agro, our commitment to social and environmental responsibility is integral to our mission. We strive to make a significant impact through various initiatives aimed at supporting sustainable agriculture, preserving bio diversity, and improving the quality of life for our farming communities.

one

Rain Water Harvesting

Water is a critical resource in organic agriculture, and preserving it is essential. Our rainwater harvesting initiatives are designed to ensure sustain able water management across our farming communities. Key activities include:

  • Creating Percolation Pits: We strategically create pits at various points to allow rain water to percolate into the ground, thereby replenishing ground water levels.
  • Building Check-Dams: Where necessary, we construct check-dams to control the flow of water, preventing erosion and allowing more water to be absorbed in to the soil.
  • De-Silting Pits: After the rainy season, wede-silt these pits to maintain their efficiency and capacity for water collection.

These methods not only increase the water table on farms but also benefit nearby areas, ensuring farmers have access to water year-round for both farming and other essential activities.

two

Tree Planting Program Of Endangered Species

We are committed to preserving and enhancing biodiversity through our tree planting programs. Our efforts include

  • Identifying Endangered Species: We identify tree and plant species that are endangered or red-listed.
  • Sourcing Saplings: We source saplings of these endangered species to ensure their survival.
  • Plantation Programs: We carry out plantation programs in a 600-acre protected forest area, providing a safe environment for these species to thrive.

Our goal is to create a biodiversity hub that can serve as a site for future research and development, ensuring the long-term survival and study of these vital species.

three

Sustainability

Sustainability is a cornerstone of our agricultural practices. We take several measures to ensure our operations are environmentally responsible:

  • Commercial Cultivation of Wild Species: To protect wild biodiversity, we transition some wild-harvested plant species to commercial cultivation. This helps reduce the impact on wild ecosystems.
  • Regenerative Agriculture Studies: We conduct extensive studies on crop regenerative cycles. By understanding these cycles, we can harvest crops sustainably, ensuring that the land remains productive for future generations.

These initiatives help us maintain a balance between meeting commercial demands and preserving
theenvironment.

four

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)

We believe in giving back to our communities and ensuring that all stakeholders benefit from our growth. Our CSR initiatives are comprehensive and impactful:

  • Supporting Basic Needs: We help farming communities access essential services, including clean toilets, stable homes, and schools.
  • Improving Farm Infrastructure: We assist in developing critical farm infrastructure, such as compost pits, borewells, and drying yards, which enhance agricultural productivity and sustainability.
  • Worker Welfare: We ensure that our workers have access to uniforms and clean clothes, improving their quality of life and work conditions. improving their quality of life and work conditions.

Through certification projects like Fair for Life, we collaborate with our customers to create real impact across multiple areas. Our efforts contribute to community well being, sustainability, biodiversity, water conservation, and farm-level infra structure, making a meaningful difference in the lives of our farmers and their families.
